Dawgs dominate in area game

Montevallo Bulldogs faced Childersburg Tigers on January 16th in their biggest game so far. Both of the boys’ varsity teams from Montevallo and Childersburg came into this game with an area record of 5-0. The Bulldogs pulled through with a win and ended the game with a score of 73-59. 

Senior Jabrian Sullens scored a total of 14 points with 19 rebounds through the game. He also had several dunks. Senior Jamarius Carter had 20 points last night and 10 rebounds. He also had 3 assists throughout the game. Junior Kavounte Britton ended the game with 10 points and Sophomore Michael Jones had 22 points and 6 rebounds. 

When Coach Greg Dickinson was asked about how they felt going into the game he said “We were very confident and felt that we were very prepared for Childersburg. We knew that it would be a very physical game because they are very athletic, but so are we.”

 When we asked him how they kept the energy throughout the game Coach D said, “I was proud of how our guys responded to the comebacks that Childersburg made, we kept our composure and continued to play hard.” 

All in all the Dawgs had an amazing game against the Childersburg Tigers last night!
