The Montevallo High School Varsity Softball team took their first victory this Monday. Altho they haven’t had the best season this year with a 1 and 13 record. They still will advance to the playoffs. This year they had two seniors on board, Paige Johnson and Kamia Hudson. At the beginning of the game, the girls were fired up. They got their first three out with the first three plays. Each senior showed out. The girls then took each inning one by one setting new goals. Each inning they should score a run or hold them. The girls ended the game with a score of 12-4. After the game, all the tears were shed because they won their first victory and fought their hardest to support their seniors. The team and individual seniors wrote a letter to record for their teammates, coaches, and also their parents. Last, they took all their pictures and celebrated. What a great day to play ball Montevallo. Good luck at Area.
