Model UN is an academic team that models the United Nations committees. Most schools in our area have a Model UN team, all of the teams meet up for one weekend out of the year. Montevallo High School will go to competition the weekend of February 17th – 19th at the University of Alabama.

The main goal of the participants is to best reflect the country they are assigned in the committee that they are assigned. They follow the same committees that the real United Nations have and the real countries involved. The students involved have to follow the same rules and procedures that are used in the United Nations committees. 

The team is currently fundraising to support their weeknd competition. There will be a fundraiser at Slice pizza in Montevallo on Tuesday, January 24th so go down to Slice and support the MHS Model UN team.
