There is a week set aside of each year to recognize the assistant principals in the school systems around the world! Assistant principals have many roles in the school setting, some that go unnoticed, but some are very obvious. Assistant Principals support the principal on a daily basis, they supervise the staff, handle student discipline, and contribute to curriculum development. Without our assistant principals, our school would not function smoothly, nor would it be functioning to its best ability!
Here at Montevallo High School, we have two assistant principals that help more around the school than we notice! We have been blessed with each of them, and we are so thankful for all that they do for MHS as a whole, as well as individual responsibilities they do every day. Katie Bell, a senior here at MHS, said “We appreciate all that Mrs.Becton and Mrs. Allen do for our school and the tasks they take on each day. Their work does not get near enough recognition as it deserves, they truly do a lot.” Ty Sullens, a senior here at MHS, said “Both Mrs. Allen and Mrs. Becton do a lot for each student and the staff here at Montevallo. Both principals make the environment of Montevallo High School much more positive and we appreciate the work they put in!” We are so thankful for all they do for us, we wouldn’t know what to do without them!
