February 15th is National School Resource Officer Day. We would like to thank our resource officer, Officer Holloway. 

He has been the resource officer at Montevallo High School for 4 years, but what is it that he does exactly? Holloway describes his job as being a teacher, a counselor, and law enforcement. He helps to protect the school along with the students and faculty. But aside from just protecting the students he is also someone that they can talk to. He is here to help the students with all kinds of different problems, even if someone just needs to talk. He said that his favorite part of the job was getting to interact with the students. 

Aside from working at the high school he has also been a part of things such as traffic, homicide investigations, and arson investigations. He is also going back through EMT school to renew his license. Officer Holloway outside interests include things like Star Wars and he was in band.
