We would like to introduce you to our new math teacher, Mrs. Armistead.

She grew up in south Florida, and went to school at Middle Tennessee State University where she studied math. She said that she wanted to teach math because it has always been her favorite subject. She said, “I want to help students love math too.” When asked why she chose to come to Montevallo she said “I love Montevallo High School. The teachers here are amazing.” She says that she also gets to have a greater impact on students and teachers here.

Aside from math she also really enjoys hiking, traveling, and baking. Fun fact her key lime pie recipe won an award. When asked to describe herself in one word she said “Growth”. She said this because she hopes to always grow and learn while becoming a better educator.

We would like to welcome Mrs. Armistead to Montevallo High School. We hope that she can continue to do what she loves here.
