This week in Ms. Tyson-Goetz’s event planning class, they are working on a project. With this project, they are learning a ton of skills for life ahead. The students are learning skills such as, how to plan an event, how to be organized, and learning to present.
A student I interviewed had some great things to say about her class. She said “I love it, it’s fun so far” The class is so excited for their upcoming Halloween party that the students will be planning. The students will be planning their own Halloween party in small groups. Then after the whole class presents, the class will vote on which party they would rather go to. Finally, the winning group will go all out for their party with snacks and drinks, plus a poster with their theme. This is their first event of the year!
The class was asked if they liked working with groups or individually. The responses were surprising. The majority of the class likes working alone but they also like communicating with each other.
Mrs.Tyson-Goetz said she is “ very excited to see how they handle this year and these upcoming events and to see what the students will come up with”
