Prom pop-up shop

Jaden Moody and Morgan Honeycutt

On Wednesday, February 26, MHS held a Prom Pop-Up Dress Show. It was available for juniors and seniors. They got to try on dresses for an hour for just $2. This dress show was run by the Prom Committee and was also a fundraiser for the club. It took place in the FACS building in Mrs.Carter’s room.

A sales associate came and brought dresses from their shop in Pleasant Grove to our school for girls attending prom to try on and possibly buy. There were many varieties of dresses including styles, colors, and sizes. The styles included mermaid, ball gown, and body fitting, and the colors were just about every color of the rainbow, some sparkly and some on the more simpler side. We had a good outcome with many girls showing up and four dresses being sold.

Junior Kali Yancey says, “The prom dress show was a good experience for many of the girls who have not been able to go and look for dresses to kind of get an idea of what they like on themselves.”

Overall, the Dress Show was a successful experience and was a great way to kick off the start of the excitement of prom.
