Mrs.Roy is Montevallo High Schools’ newest collaborative education teacher and assistant cheer coach here at MHS. She came to MHS from the Jefferson County school system. We are excited for her to be a part of the MHS family.

Roy started teaching here in August of 2019. She received her Bachlors in Elementary Education at Troy University and got her Masters in Collaborative Education at UAB.

Roy states, “I enjoy the family-like atmosphere and it is closer to home for me, but overall I love it here at Montevallo.”

In the middle of September Roy became the assistant cheer coach alongside head coach Ms.Beck.

Roy said she decided to help out because, “growing up I was a cheerleader and dancer and it was something I enjoyed doing. It’s something I would like to see other young girls enjoy also.”

For the past few years Roy and her husband has struggled with having a baby. So they went down the road of adoption. They are welcoming a baby girl, Paisley Ann this month. “We are so excited to and blessed to have her” she states.

We are so happy to welcome Mrs.Roy and her family to MHS.
