On September 12, the Dawg Impact Team attended the 2019 Chick fil a Leadership Summit. Schools from all over Shelby County were represented as leaders in every aspect from their schools.

When the event started these students were instructed to go out and meet student leaders from other schools and ask thought provoking questions. Some of the questions asked included: “Who are some leaders you look up to?” and “What are the leadership characteristics you aspire to have?”

This set the mood for a brainstorming session regarding impact events ideas for our schools and communities.  Our Dawg Impact Team represented MHS very well by contributing to the group discussions and sharing ideas to make our communities even better than they already are.

Junior, McKenna DuBose attended the Chick-fil-A Leadership Summit and said “ The Chick-fil-A Leadership Summit was very motivating. It inspired me to come back to my school and community and give my talents to work to improve everything! It also was a great opportunity to meet other students from different schools who have the same goals.”

We should be so proud that our school is represented by such amazing leaders!
