Montevallo has introduced the new “Flex Period”. It’s a period that is used for studying core classes and also has a “club day”. One of the many clubs is Film Club, operated by Ms. Beck. She is a first year English teacher at MHS. In this club students will watch and critique different movies and scenes. 

When asked why she chose to sponsor film club Ms. Beck stated, “I enjoy movies because it allows me to escape from life for a little while and explore the places and lives of others. It allows me to broaden my perspectives.”

Junior Justus Anderson joined film club because he really enjoys movies and “it is and opportunity to watch and discuss movies at school.”

Mrs. Beck’s said her top movies are The Notebook, Wonder Woman, and Halloween.
