Troubadours debut new uniforms

After almost 20 years, Montevallo’s Marching Troubadours debuted their new uniforms Friday, Sept. 29 on their home field during the Bibb County game.
“I love the new uniforms,” band director Lindsey Underwood said. “I think they show off our school colors better and make the Troubadours look more sharp. They more effectively showcase the band’s performances and marching style.”
The new $30,000 uniforms were designed last year and ordered in the spring. It took many years of fundraising from meat sales to taking up parking donations at the home football games to pay for the ensemble. Many generous contributions were also given by community members and alumni.
“They are the best thing ever,” senior euphonium player Jessie Evans said. “They look amazing. It was the best band early Christmas present ever.”
