This year, many college representatives will be visiting Montevallo High School to inform students will attend about the requirements needed for attendance. Students also learn all the things that each college has to offer, including extracurricular activities and social events.
These representative meetings help juniors and seniors decide where they may want to attend college, or if college is the place for them.
“You don’t need any supplies for these meetings,” counselor Cheryl Allen said. “Just bring a pen to write down some of the information.”
All the college visits will be during 7th period and students need to sign up in the counselor’s office.
“The schools give information on admission requirements, scholarship information, campus life, deadlines and applications,” Allen said. “These meetings are helpful and informative for students.”
Even students who may have already made future school decisions could benefit from attending these sessions with college representatives.
Schools that have already visited include Stillman College, the University of West Alabama and UAB Nursing School.
