Monday and Tuesday, April 17th and 18th The Bulldogs’ tennis team went to George Ward Park to compete against other schools for sectionals. Monday was all boys and Tuesday was the girls. Lily Thornwaite won her singles match against Moody High School and advanced to the second round. Hunter Jordan and Natalie Lutz won their doubles match against Moody High School and advanced to the second round. 

When asking Lily Thornwaite how she felt about moving to the next round she said, “ I was really happy and excited to play people above my experience and I learned alot from it.”said Lily

When asking Hunter Jordan how she felt about moving to the next round she said, “ I was very excited about moving to the next round, we tied in the 1st match so we had to do a tiebreaker which was very intense, I felt really confident until we played Leeds, but we just decided to go out there and have fun.” 

Also, when asking Trey Adams how he felt the boys did he said, “I feel we could have done better than we did, but it was fun even if we didn’t advance.” 

Congratulations to the people who advanced and just overall the tennis team for trying their best!! Can’t wait to see what comes next year!!
