What’s Up Montevallo Bulldogs!! The MHS wrestling team has been working hard for a new season. Their first match will be on Wednesday, November 30 against Dora and Ranburne at home. The Wrestling team had a great season last year, making it to state. Last year there were 5 state qualifiers Gavin Monk, Charlie Paraca, Sam Adams, Cole Dennis,and  Charlie Adams.

 The wrestling team has been working hard conditioning and training. Something new they have been doing this year are team activities. When asking head Coach Langer how he feels about the team this year he said “ We have good team leadership from our seniors and juniors. We also have a chance to compete for the region championship state tournament at the end of the year.”

The wrestlers are ready and excited for the new season. The team is up and ready for this season. Senior Gavin Monk states that to prepare for his matches he likes “to put on headphones and listen to upbeat music to get ready for the match.” Monk also believes that they have a chance to make it to state. Also stated by another wrestler Lesly Lopez is looking “forward to getting lots of wins and this team is just like family.” The wrestling team has worked so hard and is prepared for their first match. Make sure to come out and support them this season.
