Dawgs take tough loss

The Dawgs faced a tough opponent on November 18th as they went up against the 7A Thompson Warriors. The Dawgs were out scored by the Warriors during the first quarter with the Warriors scoring 21 and the Bulldogs scoring 7. 

Junior Xavier Cartwell said “We caused too many turnovers and simple mistakes. Also we brought ourselves down before the game was over with.”

The lead scorer of the night was senior Jamarius Carter scoring 16 points; JC scored 14 out of his 16 points in the third quarter alone. The second lead scorer was Junior Kavonte Britton scoring 12 points, and the 3rd leading scorer was sophomore Kial Cottingham scoring 10 points. The final score ended up being 78-51. 

Coach D said “Overall I think we played scared at the beginning of the game. Our defense was not good and there is a lot of work we need to get done #SAY NO MO” 

The Dawgs hope to play a better game when they go up against the Warriors on December 6th at Thompson.
