On Tuesday October 22 The Montevallo Lady Dawgs pulled out an impressive win against Indian Springs in the first round of the area tournament. The Bulldogs clinched an easy victory over Indian Springs by winning in three games. The first game was 25-19, 25-17, and the third game was 25-9. Immediately after that game the Lady Dawgs faced Leeds in the area championship game. Although the team put up a good fight the Dawgs fell short and lost in three. On Thursday October 24th the Lady Dawgs went to regionals at the Cramton Bowl in Montgomery . The Lady Dawgs faced Bayside High School. Bayside has claimed the state championship 23 years in a row. Bayside won the first game 7-25, then the second match Bayside won 5-25, then Bayside clinched the match winning game three 12-25. They Lady Dawgs fought hard to the end, but they still came up short ending their season.
