The Montevallo Bulldogs football team traveled to B.B. Comer Friday, Sept. 6 for their third game of the season. Montevallo lost, 44-3.
In the first half of the game, leading receiver junior Mike McKenzie had 3 catches for 27 yards; sophomore Undraez Lilly had 13 carries for 43 yards. Junior Daymon Smith had 7 carries for 32 yards.
In the second half of the game, leading tackler junior Michael Arnold had nine tackles, while Smith had 8 tackles. Sophomore Blake Smith had 6 tackles and one reception.
“We need to work on our team chemistry and work harder as a team,” Lilly said.
After the loss to B.B. Comer, the team was pressed in practice in preparation for the next game.
“Through practice, we worked hard to improve,” senior Meko Brown said. “I feel that we have gotten so much better and are ready for the next game.”
Montevallo stayed at home to clash against Trinity Friday, Sept. 13. Montevallo lost, 42 – 0.
Senior Aaron Terrill achieved 11 tackles and McKenzie had 6 tackles and one forced fumble. Leading rusher Lilly had 62 rush yards in 9 carries.
