The Montevallo Bulldogs played their Jamboree game Friday, Aug 23 against Dallas County.
“It was a close, fierce, intense and competitive game,” senior linebacker Aaron Terrill said.
Dallas County barely managed to come out on top after a 60-minute battle, and the Bulldogs fell 7-15.
The Bulldogs then played Fultondale, Friday, Aug. 30. The Bulldogs lost this game, 0-42.
“We plan to continue to work hard,” head coach Andrew Zow said. “The team plans to have a successful season and everybody has high expectations for this very talented football team. We don’t take this loss too hard; we look at mistakes and work to improve every game, win or lose.”
Over all, the Bulldogs had a total of 150 rushing yards and 36 passing yards. Fultondale, on the other hand, had 325 rushing yards and a total of 15 passing yards.
Montevallo’s leading rusher sophomore Undraez Lilly finished the game with 7 carries and 62 yards. Leading receiver junior Mike McKenzie received for 21 yards.
