The Bulldogs fell to the Chelsea Hornets at Chelsea’s home court on Tuesday, Jan. 24. The final score of the game was 62-49. The Bulldogs’ leading scorer was senior Garrius Chappell scoring 16 of the Bulldogs’ 49 points, followed by junior Korey Cunningham and senior Eugene Rogers, both scoring 9 points during the game.
“I think we had a tough game, and we just need to keep on working hard,” Chappell said.
The Bulldogs fell to the Jemison Panthers on Friday, Jan. 27 at Jemison with an ending result of 74-54. Once again the Bulldogs’ leading scorer was Chappell, scoring 16 points in the game along with junior Trevor Chatham scoring an additional 16 points. The Bulldogs’ second leading scorer was another tie between Rodgers and junior Landon Goodwin, both scoring 8 points each.
The Bulldogs lost at their final game for the year to the Hale County Wildcats. The final score ended up being 62-44. The Bulldogs leading scorer was Cunningham scoring a total of 9 points, followed by Chappell, scoring a total of 8.
“We played hard, but we came up short,” Cunningham said. “I’m really going to miss all the seniors next year.”
