The Montevallo Marching Troubadours travel musically to the 1970s in the halftime show this football season.
Their show includes “Radar Love” by Golden Earring, “Vehicle” by The Ides of March and “Birdland” by Maynard Ferguson. The Troubadours are conducted by senior drum major Chris Seeboth. They will be competing on the Saturdays of Sept. 28, Oct. 12 and Oct. 19. The Troubadours also performed at the Shelby County Showcase of Bands to prepare for their competitions.
“The Showcase of Bands was well performed, junior tuba player Kenneth McCutcheon said. “We had a great time watching the other bands and we gave it our all on the field.”
Senior Troubadours include Madeline Phillips, Heather Wallace, Natalie Holsomback, Sabrina Sherman, Jessica Davis and Renita Morris on auxiliary, and Kenneth Oswald, Mace Wilder, Xan Shivers, Stephen Gilbert, Noah Booth and Christian Rutledge on instruments and Seeboth as drum major.
“I am really excited for my last year of high school and my first year marching on the Troubadour danceline,” Sherman said.
